Global Payments Launches Autonomous Company Store

Global Payments, a leading worldwide provider of payment technology and software solutions, recently worked with DeepMagic to open an unattended store at Global Payments Inc.’s corporate headquarters in Atlanta. The store is powered by DeepMagic’s AI platform, which enables Tap-Grab-Go functionality at the point-of-sale and Global Payments' own payment technology solutions to support a state-of-the-art consumer experience for our employees. Shoppers tap their credit card at the door, grab products to purchase and go.

Global Payments enabled the DeepMagic Kiosk with advanced payment options, such as contactless payments (NFC), including Apple Pay and Google Pay. The combination of seamless payment solutions and DeepMagic’s high-accuracy AI-powered transaction monitoring is an important step towards an enhanced customer experience.

About DeepMagic:

DeepMagic is using AI to enable Tap-Grab-GoTM transactions and payment at unattended points-of-sale. The company deployed its first commercial store in collaboration with Cisco Systems in 2018 and since then has partnered with multinational CPG's, payment processing providers such as Global Payments, and retailers to scale its deployments. DeepMagic was founded by Bernd Schoner and Davi Geiger who hold PhDs from the MIT Media Lab and the MIT AI Lab respectively.
